Omorpho Insider

"I used my Omorpho Vest with regularity in the months leading up to my ill fated, high altitude trek in Peru! I figured since we were going to be ascending to up to 15,000 feet in the Andes, I should build up as much heart, lung and leg strength as possible. I was diligent about wearing the vest, even wearing it to climb the condo steps while we were on vacation in Mexico… As many as 10 consecutive ascents and descents to the fourth floor! Anyway, things did not go as planned. On the second day of hiking, in mid April of this year, my right leg slipped, my left leg braced, and my quadricep tendon snapped like an overtightened guitar string. I have a deep, organic understanding of gratitude, primarily because I have written well in excess of 250 letters of gratitude in the last 10 years. My gratitude practice was stretched to the absolute limit as I was evacuated from South America, leaving my wife and our friends behind to successfully complete this 'bucket list' trip to Machu Picchu. It’s been five months since the accident and I am now regaining more mobility, biking, lifting weights, and using my Omorpho a little bit as I slowly return to the trails. Although it was an unfortunate accident, I'm looking forward to turning this into a positive as I recover by slowly adding load with my G-Vest to boost recovery." - Joel Zuckerman
